Grilled Tofu
Grilled tofu makes a delicious topping for beans or spaghetti or a filling for wraps. Takes just a few minutes to put it together and adds a great flavor and texture to your meal!
Drain and gently press between clean kitchen towels:
1 16-ounce block tofu
Set aside tofu and combine the following:
¼ cup nutritional food yeast
1 Tbsp McKays’ chicken-style seasoning
1 tsp onion powder
¼ tsp garlic powder
Cube the tofu and toss it with the seasonings. Spread the cubes on a cookie sheet that has been sprayed with Pam, and bake at 425 for 15 minutes or until cubes turn golden on the bottom. May need to stir to keep from sticking to the pan.
Don’t have McKay’s chicken style seasoning? Just add another tablespoon of nutritional food yeast and add a pinch of oregano, thyme, basil, and paprika.
